A report conducted by Coinbase shows that the number of Britons who have purchased crypto has increased by 4% from 29% to 33% since October 2021.
Additionally, 61% of those surveyed plan to increase their holdings in the next 12 months.
The report also highlights that Bitcoin is the most commonly owned cryptocurrency in the UK. Ethereum (ETH) is held by 52% of those surveyed, Dogecoin (DOGE) and Binance Coin (BNB) with 34% and 33% holdings respectively.
A Coinbase spokesperson said that the UK population of 67 million creates “Europe’s leading crypto investment hub,” noting that more and more people are getting involved in these assets.
A senior employee of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) recently took up a position in the digital assets division, to support the government’s “crypto vision.”
