Chainlink’s Price Feed is officially live on Solana’s network, making it the first non-EVM network that this oracle provides services.
Oracle solution Chainlink said on Friday (June 3), developers building DeFi on the Solana mainnet were able to integrate 7 Chainlink price indicators into their product.
Previously, many applications like Aave, Compound or dYdX used data from Chainlink. However, these are applications on the network that are compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM). It is known that after this update, Solana is the first non-EVM blockchain to use the price data service from Chainlink.
Chirag Dhull, head of marketing and product at Chainlink Labs, said:
“SOLANA’S FAST TRADING PROCESSING INFRASTRUCTURE WILL HELP PRICE NUMBERS COLLATE DATA AT HIGH SPEED, WITH LOW COST.”
Accordingly, Chainlink’s service has brought 2.6 million heads of data to blockchain applications. In February, Bank of America also attributed the rapid increase in assets locked on DeFi transactions due in part to the popular service from Chainlink.
